Are Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants still opening at The ROW in downtown Reno?
Ramsay’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Fish & Chips were originally scheduled to open last year.
So what’s the deal with Gordon Ramsay’s two planned restaurants in downtown Reno?
That’s what some local foodies want to know after the initial target opening period for Ramsay’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Fish & Chips have now come and gone.
Caesars Entertainment first announced its plans for Ramsay’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Fish & Chips at The Row last May. Ramsay’s Kitchen was supposed to have 260 seats while the smaller fish and chips restaurant was planned to have 60 seats.
The announcement included a statement from Ramsay about his first foray into the Biggest Little City’s restaurant scene.
“Ramsay’s Kitchen and Fish & Chips will be my first establishments in the Reno market and I’m excited that they’ll be at such an amazing destination,” Ramsay said at the time.
“I look forward to introducing both concepts to another great city in Northern Nevada with my longstanding partner, Caesars Entertainment.”
Caesars added that both locations are expected to open at the Silver Legacy hotel-casino in late 2023.
A Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen opened in Harveys Lake Tahoe at Stateline in 2020.
When is Ramsay’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Fish & Chips opening in Reno?
With 2024 in full swing, Ramsay’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Fish & Chips have yet to open in Reno.
The lack of news about both projects has raised questions on whether Gordon Ramsay’s Reno restaurants have been canceled. Caesars, however, confirmed on Friday that they are still a go.
“Ramsey Restaurants will be opening this summer,” a spokesperson for Caesars Entertainment said.
There still isn’t a hard date for the actual opening day, Caesars added.
This isn’t the first time that a Caesars restaurant project tied to a celebrity has been delayed. Television star Lisa Vanderpump was supposed to open a new wolf-themed restaurant at Harveys Lake Tahoe last year. Wolf by Vanderpump now has an invitation-only grand opening scheduled for mid-April; the opening date to the general public has not been announced.
In the meantime, folks with a craving for fish and chips and Ramsay’s trademark Beef Wellington should be able to sample both in Reno in just a few months.
