Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly aren’t the only actors returning to Paramount for a Yellowstone spin-off. Reportedly, casting is underway for the network’s fleet of sequels currently in development—including Dutton Ranch with Hauser and Reilly, Y: Marshals with Luke Grimes, 1944, and The Madison with newcomers Matthew Fox and Michelle Pfeiffer. First to premiere on the list? Dutton Ranch.
Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan are preparing to release the Beth Dutton (Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Hauser) spin-off on Paramount+ in November. The network has yet to officially announce the series, but according to Deadline, the couple will star alongside actor Finn Little, who played their pseudo-adopted son, Carter, in Yellowstone.
As Dutton-heads may recall, Beth and Rip took in Carter after his father died. Now they look over the teenager and ranch hand as if he were their biological son. With the couple moving to a smaller estate near Dillon, Montana, at the end of the Yellowstone season 5 finale, it seems Beth and Rip will take Carter with them.
There’s no word yet as to how Dutton Ranch will continue the Dutton-family story. At the end of Yellowstone season 5, Kayce (Luke Grimes) helped Beth and Rip save the family ranch by selling it to Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham). Though Kayce remains on the ranch with his family, he will star on his own series on CBS.

In December, Reilly confirmed the spin-off on her own Instagram page. When a fan asked about the rumors surrounding the spin-off series, she wrote, “true 🤍.” Meanwhile, Hauser told The Hollywood Reporter that the series will focus on Rip and Beth’s relationship after the events of the season 5 finale. “I’m excited just like everybody else,” he said. “I can’t wait to see what they come up with.” It looks like Hauser will have that chance with Dutton Ranch, and soon!
