Andor is set to premiere on Disney+ in only eleven days. The second and final season is set to begin production soon and it was announced that the end of the second season will lead directly to the events of Rogue One. Check out the new official trailer for the first season down below:

Andor will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the differences he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception, and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Diego Luna debuted as Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the 2016’s anthology movie which was also the second Star Wars movie of the franchise’s Disney era. The movie starred Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, who worked with Andor for the Rebel Alliance in order to get the plans for the Death Star which were later given to Princess Leia, which led to the events of the very first Star Wars movie — New Hope . This upcoming series will take place prior to the events of Rogue One.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor, and the series is also starring Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, and Kyle Soller. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy serves as the creator and showrunner.

Andor is set to premiere with the first three episodes on September 21, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
