After moving on from acting, Brisebois launched a music career, which has taken her big places over the years. She was in the ’90s rock band New Radicals, who had the hit single “You Get What You Give” in 1998.

Brisebois has also had major successes as a songwriter for other artists, most notably Natasha Bedingfield. She was credited as a co-writer of her 2000s hit songs “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Rainbows.”

Brisebois has also written for artists including Donna Summer, Paula Abdul, and Kylie Minogue.
