Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge reunited with her former This Is Us co-stars for a podcast special.
This week, Breckenridge’s episode of the podcast That Was Us — hosted by Sterling K Brown, Mandy Moore and Chris Sullivan — debuted, with the cast discussing the show’s 15th episode, ‘Jack Pearson’s Son.’
The episode was Breckenridge’s third as Kevin’s future wife, Sophie Inman, and the character finally made it through the sixth season. Hopefully, that means she’ll be doing more podcast episodes and getting the chance to appear in-studio instead of on video calls.
That Was Us was first announced back in April, with the trio saying at the time: “Pearson’s story may have ended after six seasons, but our story continues.” For six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays has brought us together with tissues in one hand and wine in the pantry in the other. Why? Because we see ourselves in their life picture. We may or may not cry at least once in every episode, but let’s just say our tears serve as an emotional catharsis…” So far, the podcast has also featured Miguel Revas actor Jon Huertas and Beth Pearson actress Susan Kelechi Watson, while Jack Pearson himself, Milo Ventimiglia, has also recorded an upcoming episode. Meanwhile, Virgin River season six is in the works, with post-production getting underway last month. The 10 new episodes will follow up on the revelation that Everett is Mel’s biological father. After a time jump from the holiday relationship specials, the season will focus heavily on exploring their connection, as well as Everett’s, to the town. This Is Us can be streamed via Disney+ and Prime Video, while That Was Us can be listened to on a variety of podcast providers or on YouTube.
