Netflix has announced big news for fans of Bridgerton. Ahead of the show’s fourth season coming next year, it’s been revealed that there will be much more of the series to come.
On Wednesday, Netflix made the news official that Bridgerton has been renewed for an additional two seasons, Seasons 5 and 6, continuing the show well past its previous renewal for Season 4. The news was announced with a letter written by Lady Whistledown touting the exciting update. The letter also encourages fans to prepare for the return of the show in 2026 when Season 4 premieres. Needless to say, it was a very exciting day for Bridgerton fans.
“Dearest Gentle Reader,” the letter begins. “Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information. It is with great pleasure I can announced Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly.”
It continues, “And in the meantime, do prepare yourselves, for Bridgerton Season 4 shall debut in 2026. It would seem this author is going to be quite busy.”
Jess Brownell will serve as showrunner for the fourth season. It is being executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen.
Season 4 Is Coming in 2026
Per Netflix, Season 4 will turn “its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver (Ha’s Sophie) at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
