The opening minutes of Virgin River Season 7 reveal a dramatic turn of events that sets the tone for the new season.
Following the joyful wedding of Mel and Jack in the previous finale, the story quickly shifts to a darker mystery. Calvin, the criminal figure tied to Charmaine, is dead, and Charmaine and her twin babies are nowhere to be found.
Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith says the writers wanted the moment to feel meaningful after building tension around Charmaine’s situation throughout Season 6.
Brie and Mike soon join forces to investigate the disappearance and determine how Charmaine may be connected to Calvin’s death.
Beyond the mystery, Season 7 also follows Mel and Jack as they adjust to married life and begin considering adoption as a path to becoming parents.
The new season premieres March 12 on Netflix.
