Netflix and Shondaland are hosting events, based on hit shows.
Dearest readers, the newest diamond of the season might just be… you. Netflix and Shondaland are teaming up with UK experiential company, Secret Cinema, and event outlet, Fever, to bring Bridgerton to life. If you’ve always wanted to attend a Queen Charlotte-hosted event, you now have the chance.
At the secret ball, guests will don regency garb, choose a title, and enter the Bridgerton family’s social circle. In the main ballroom, a string quartet will play re-arranged pop songs (inspired by the show’s soundtrack) and guests will be given dance cards and love tokens to exchange. A light show will also be part of the attractions. Secret Cinema is known for their “Choose Your Own Adventure” style events (they produced a similar function for Stranger Things), so if dancing is not your forté, guests can participate in life drawing, card-playing and boxing.
The ball is set to occur this autumn, at a secret location in London. Interested parties can join the waitlist now. The event website includes all the relevant details, plus a note from Lady Whistledown herself. Read below:
Dearest Readers,
The social season is upon us.
It is with great pleasure and much excitement this author shares the news of a most anticipated society ball arriving to our fair city this Autumn. In an undisclosed location, away from the discerning eyes of the Ton, it is said to be the one ball of the year where anything goes…
Ladies and gentlemen, do not tarry, for this is your opportunity to waltz your way into high society, make use of those dance cards, and find someone to burn for.
The 3-hour immersive soirée will see you wine and dine with esteemed members of the Religion as you partake in an evening of music, mingling, and perhaps other less-refined activities…
Have no fear, gentle reader. Yours truly shall attend and every transgression will be diligently recorded. Because whilst you might not be able to spot me in the crowd, I shall most definitely keep an eye on you…
Yours Truly,
Lady Whistledown
