The One Chicago universe is truly a hot bed for romance. Along with intense moments, characters often find themselves in romantic relationships with Chicago residents both on and off their own shows. With so many steamy moments on the shows, it’s no surprise that things take a romantic turn off-stage as well. Let’s see which One Chicago actors have dated in real life.
Sophia Bush, “Chicago P.D.” and “One Tree Hill” alum, has experienced his fair share of romance with his co-star. Speaking on Michael Rosenbaum’s “Inside of You” podcast, she shared that romance in the cast is more common than you might think. “You realize that everyone you’ve ever met in this business has dated other people,” she told Us Weekly. “When you spend 100 hours a week on set and you don’t even come home for 8 hours of sleep, yeah, I’m not surprised that every 20 year old on set ends up dating each other for 20 years. -old on set .” She added: “We act like it’s uncommon and extremely common. Some of our favorite celebrity couples are the ones who married the fourth co-star they dated. “
With so many young, attractive people working in one place, Bush’s comments may not be entirely out of place.
A Chicago actor once dated
As previously stated, “Chicago P.D.” star Sophia Bush found love on set. She and co-star Jesse Lee Soffer dated from 2014 to 2016, coincidentally their characters are also related, according to Hello!. They kept their real-life romance private, but a source close to the couple told E! News that it was a good match. “They [Sophia and Jesse] have been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends know,” the source said at the time. “Jesse is super sweet and they are really cute together.” Ultimately, after they broke up, reports said the two simply “grew apart.”
After dating Bush, Soffer went on to date another One Chicago actress: Torrey DeVitto, whom he reportedly dated for about eight months before breaking up, according to Celebrity Insider. Although the relationship didn’t last, the two seemed to enjoy their time together. DeVitto told Us Weekly at the time: “It’s great, we feel like we’re out in the open. It’s really great. Everything is going really well. I’m really happy, [am] the happiest that I ever had”. She added that the couple would “watch a really good show and just stay home. I think that’s what’s really cool — we’re both equally gay.”
Of course, rumors of other extramarital affairs have been spread without confirmation. There are rumors that Soffer is also involved with “Chicago P.D.” co-star Tracy Spiridakos, but Distractify has debunked the rumors. But there’s definitely a lot of real romance going on surrounding One Chicago.
