Georgie And Mandy Are Married In Emotional Young Sheldon Season 7 Midseason Trailer (Without Sheldon)
After some chaos brought by their mothers, Georgie and Mandy are officially married in a new Young Sheldon season 7 trailer, but without Sheldon.
A new trailer for Young Sheldon season 7 shows Mandy and Georgie finally married, but Sheldon is nowhere to be seen. After quite a chaotic experience with both of their mothers meddling with their decisions, Young Sheldon season 7, episode 6, “Baptists, Catholics and an Attempted Drowning,” ended with the couple finally deciding to tie the knot. They were initially planning on waiting a few days to go down to the courthouse but realized that the longer they delayed, the higher the chance that more drama would ensue. They opted to have a quick wedding.
CBS (via TV Promos) has released the official trailer for Young Sheldon season 7, episode 7 “A Proper Wedding and Skeletons in the Closet,” which shows Georgie and Mandy’s intimate courthouse ceremony. Watch the clip below:
The clip shows the McCallisters — Jim and Audrey — and the Coopers — George, Mary, Missy, Baby Cece — and even Meemaw and Dale together for the occasion. Interestingly, Sheldon is nowhere to be seen. Regardless, it doesn’t take away from the poignancy of the moment, as Mandy and Georgie marry in front of their closest loved ones.
What’s Next For Mandy And Georgie After Getting Married
Mandy And Georgie Get What They Want For Their Wedding.
With their wedding now out of the way, it’s safe to expect that the remainder of the couple’s arc will revolve around setting up Georgie and Mandy’s spinoff.
Georgie and Mandy’s wedding happens at the midpoint of season 7. This means only seven episodes are left before the series wraps up with a special one-hour send-off on May 16. With their wedding now out of the way, it’s safe to expect that the remainder of the couple’s arc will revolve around setting up Georgie and Mandy’s spinoff. Essentially a continuation of Young Sheldon, the new show, which will be part of CBS’ 2024-2024 TV slate, will be a multi-cam series.
While getting married would make Mary more comfortable having the pair live with them, it’s unlikely that they would want to continue with that set-up for much longer. The conflict between Mary and Audrey seems to have resolved on its own, but it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any more arguments between them moving forward. This is particularly vital with Baby Cece in the middle of them. Given all of this, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Georgie and Mandy will be more inclined to put some separation between them and their families.
Aside from their own story, it’s also likely that Georgie will still be involved with the Coopers’ affairs, especially with the upcoming death of George. Per The Big Bang Theory, he did say that he took over the family when his dad passed away — something that Sheldon was oblivious to until Georgie confronted him. How that will play out in the remainder of the show is unclear, considering that Young Sheldon characters Missy and Mary won’t be in the sequel series.
