Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are continuing to take the next steps in their relationship. The couple appeared on the Almost Famous podcast on Sunday, February 2, and revealed how Vassos is integrating herself into her fiancé’s life in Kansas.
Vassos has no plans to move to Wichita permanently, as the Golden Bachelorette lovebirds are keeping their respective residences and maintaining their romance long-distance. However, she’s making sure her presence is known in Chapple’s home.
While discussing life with adult kids, Vassos explained, “I was a computer programmer. I wrote code, but I gave up my career to raise my kids. But when the kids are raised, that’s when it really hits you.” She revealed that she got her interior design degree to fill up her free time once her four kids were adults.
That’s when Chapple jumped in to add, “Speaking of the interior design degree, I now have new pillows. The master bedroom’s been repainted. The guest bedroom’s been repainted.” Vassos continued to list the changes she’s made to Chapple’s home. “[There’s] new end tables,” she said. “And a new coffee table. New curtains.”
Even though Vassos doesn’t live in Chapple’s Kansas home, she’s certainly made her mark when it comes to decorating!
Meanwhile, the engaged couple is still on the hunt for a place to share in New York City. While they don’t plan on moving into this residence full-time, they’ve said that they hope it’s somewhere they can spend time together, especially when they want to get away. Unfortunately, the rental market in the Big Apple has been difficult, especially since the pair is set on finding a place in SoHo.
For now, they’re making it work by traveling to see each other in Kansas and Maryland, where Vassos is from, while also sneaking in time together while traveling. In fact, they filmed the Almost Famous interview in Florida where they were attending a Bachelor Nation golf outing. Vassos also revealed that she and Chapple have their first solo vacation coming up, although she didn’t divulge details about where they’re headed.
