Chicago Fire season 12 introduces Michael Bradway to cast as new firefighter

Chicago Fire will be welcoming a new face to the cast when the NBC drama returns.

Chicago Fire season 12 may have lost some key characters but a new one is on the way.

So far, there have been three exits from the NBC emergency services drama, including Albert Rosende as Blake Gallo and Rome Flynn as Jake Gibson.

The most significant of all the departures though has been that of Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett who had been in Chicago Fire since joining the cast in season three.

Now, another actor is set to join the drama in the shape of actor Michael Bradway who will reportedly have a recurring role.

He is set to portray “charming” firefighter Jack Damon and will make his big debut in the upcoming 10th episode on Wednesday, April 10.

It has been reported that there is potential for Bradway to become a series regular next season if things go well in this 12th outing.

Chicago Fire will be the actor’s big TV debut, having previously just starred in two shorts entitled Piece and Tino.

His IMDb profile also reveals that he is currently working on an upcoming romantic movie called Marked Men which will be out sometime in September 2024.

Bradway took to Instagram to share the good news of the new role with his 1,800 followers.

Along with the original Deadline article, he wrote: “Got to be a part of the Chicago Fire Family for Season 12! Can’t wait for you guys to see it next week!”

He won’t be the only one to join the cast though as last week, it was revealed that actress Jocelyn Hudon had secured a role as new paramedic Lyla Novak.

She is probably best known for starring in Guillermo Del Toro’s horror series The Strain, as well as the 2015 comedy film Pixels with Adam Sandler.

There will be plenty more to come from Chicago Fire though as it has already been renewed for a 13th season.

NBC gave the green light last month for the entire One Chicago franchise, Chicago Fire season 13, Chicago Med for season 10 and Chicago PD for season 12.

Typically, the shows have around 20 episodes each but this won’t be the case this time around due to the Hollywood strikes last year.

Instead, the Chicago shows are going to consist of 13 episodes, meaning there isn’t too much longer left to enjoy of the current outings.
