The Golden Bachelor: Gerry and Theresa on where they’ll live
The Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have offered advice to the yet-to-be-revealed star of the recently confirmed Golden Bachelorette.
In 2023, Gerry made his debut on the ABC franchise’s first-ever dating series solely dedicated to senior citizens.
The spin-off was an instant success and delivered the franchise’s highest ratings in years, with its September premiere reaching a combined 13.9 million viewers.
It also set a streaming record as ABC’s most-watched episode of an unscripted series ever on Hulu and as a result the network announced its spin-off.
As well as garnering millions of new fans worldwide, Gerry also found true love with Theresa, and together they lifted the lid on their future together.
In February, ABC took to social media and announced: “The moment you’ve been waiting for: #TheGoldenBachelorette is coming this Fall.”
As anticipation looms, Theresa confessed: “I am so excited to find out who it is. But some simple advice is to keep your heart open and live in the moment! Really listen to your gut.”
While the retired restauranteur shared: “My advice is to slow yourself down and don’t be in any hurry.”
As Gerry met and had to sift through 22 different women, he added: “You have to be a bit analytical, but follow your heart.
The 77-year-old continued: “I journaled a lot and I wish I would’ve gone back to my journal 48 hours later while still in the process. I wish I would’ve read what I was thinking.
“Now, I read it and I didn’t remember thinking or feeling certain things, so it would have been a great help to do some reflection in the moment and go back to it every few days.”
Following their January wedding, the pair told Bachelor Nation, that they still have yet to decide where they want to move but will be house-hunting in South Carolina.
