Red team: Atoye, Carmen, Donya, Leigh, Raneisha, Sammi, Sandra
Blue team: Bradley, Dahmere, Devon, Jason, Jermaine, Johnathan, Ryan

20:00. – “Previously on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’!” In episode 5, the chefs competed in the infamous Surf & Turf relay challenge and served celebrities Dolph Lundgren and Paula Abdul for dinner. Ultimately, Gordon decided to eliminate Melissa from the Red Team, saying the 34-year-old from Atlanta “completely disappeared from driving, so I made her disappear from this competition.” Who will be sent home next?

8:05 pm — The Red Team is in chaos as they return to the dorms. The team is chaotic and lacks basic communication skills. The next day, Gordon hopes to lighten the mood by starting things off outside of Hell’s Kitchen. They arrived at a soccer field with a net. Each dish comes with nine side dishes. One chef from each team will kick a soccer ball. Whichever two dishes they hit will be the two dishes they must combine together in one dish. To give them some pointers on how to pitch, soccer legend Alexi Lalas of Team USA took the field.

8:10pm — First Ryan and Raneisha. Ryan speaks French and Raneisha speaks Japanese. That must be an interesting combination. Here’s how the others do it: Donya and Jermaine will combine Spanish and Mexican. Leigh and Brad study Spanish and French. Devon and Atoye will deal with Thai and Chinese. Dahmere and Sandra score points in Greek and Italian. Carmen and Johnathan will compete against the Japanese and Thais. Finally, Jason and Sammi will cook an Indian-Greek fusion dish. The chef who cooks the best dish of the winning team today will receive a “fantastic prize”.

8:20 p.m. — The chefs return to the kitchen and everyone creates their own dish combinations. Gordon introduces Tony Messina as the special guest judge for this challenge. Here’s how the scores are divided:

Jermaine defeated Donya
Dahmere defeated Sandra
Sammi defeats Jason
Atoye defeats Devon
Leigh defeated Brad
Ryan defeated Raneisha
Jonathan defeats Carmen

The Blue team won with a score of 4-3. Tony said the best dish of the day went to Johnathan. He won two round-trip tickets to experience Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. The Blue Team will participate in a bubble soccer game with prizes. Each person will also take home a new Keurig machine. The Red Team will stay and shell peas, dice pancetta and shred parmesan cheese by hand. It’s fun to watch men throw themselves at each other in bubble soccer, but it’s brutal to see Team Red endure this punishment. Sadly, Raneisha is really disappointed in herself. During her lunch break, she started crying. She explains that she has six children depending on her

8.30 pm. – Back to the prize, Brad admitted it was fun but he felt a lot of pain after taking a few big hits on the field. He said his body was “shutting down” because he had surgery before coming to Hell’s Kitchen. The show must go on and it’s time for the guests to arrive. The dining room is filled with celebrities like Melissa Rivers and Eric Dickerson. Both teams are determined to have their best serve ever when tickets start pouring in.

8:35 pm — Raneisha and Atoye set fire to the fish station, forcing Gordon to assist. Donya is frustrated and says there is no leadership at the fish station. Meanwhile, Dahmere is using his voice on the Blue Team and it’s inspiring. Johnathan said he ran through walls for Dahmere. Unfortunately, Jermaine got some bad oysters but quickly recovered. Gordon praised Dahmere’s risotto. On the Red Team’s side, Gordon is strangling Raneisha, but she says she won’t give up. Finally, she brought out “beautifully” cooked scallops. It’s time to move on to the appetizers.

8:45 p.m. — With appetizer orders about to arrive, the Blue Team realizes Jason is ahead of himself. He cooked the fish before Devon had a chance to put his steak in the pan. When he reached the pass, Gordon shouted. The steak is “ice cold” in the middle. It was all because Jason started too early and Devon was in a hurry to eat his steak. Now they have to start again. On the second try, they sent out beautifully cooked proteins. On the Red Team, Donya and Carmen are excelling at the meat counter. Despite their difficulties, both teams completed dinner service on a high note.

8:50 p.m. – After dinner, Gordon tells everyone to give themselves a round of applause. He names Dahmere for his “most excellent dinner service.” He also praised Donya. He asked Brad how he was doing and Brad admitted he was having a hard time. When Brad’s body gave up on him, he left the competition. Sadly, one of the funniest characters of the season is gone. Gordon says the competition must continue and both teams need to nominate two chefs for elimination.

9:00 pm. — Team Red nominated Raneisha and Sandra to the qualifying round. The Blue Team nominated Jason and Jermaine. When Dahmere named Jermaine as the nominee, he spoke up: “I think we’re agreed on Devon.” Everyone quickly corrected him. The four nominees stood before Gordon and begged them to stay. In the end, Gordon eliminated Raneisha. At the end of the show, he said, “Raneisha has a very strong voice in the kitchen, but unfortunately her cooking is not loud enough.”
