Jordan Heller Clears the Air: What Really Happened with Taylor Dayne on The Golden Bachelorette

In the latest episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Jordan Heller, a contestant on The Golden Bachelorette, shared details about his past with singer Taylor Dayne and how it impacted his journey on the show.

Jordan, 61, admitted that before joining the show, he had once “swiped” right on Taylor Dayne on a dating app without realizing her fame. The pair had a brief date when she visited Chicago, during which they had to navigate a sudden storm. “It was kind of a whirlwind,” Jordan recalled, adding that they exchanged numbers but lost touch after that night.

Their paths crossed again when Taylor appeared during a group date with Joan Vassos and the other contestants. Jordan was excited to see her and hoped she would recognize him. “I was hopeful. I had to know if she remembered me because it was such a crazy night,” he said.

Jordan approached a producer and requested a quick chat with Taylor before she left. He explained the situation to the crowd, sharing how they had a unique first date. Joan soon learned about the encounter and asked questions. “I went up to her and said, ‘I’m Jordan from Chicago. Do you remember me?’” he recounted. Taylor’s response was simple: “Yeah, we spent five minutes together.” That was it.

Despite the innocent nature of the interaction, some of the other contestants speculated about Jordan’s intentions. “The guys were thinking maybe I was hitting on her,” Jordan said. “But I’m like, ‘I’m not hitting on her. I’m there for Joan.’”

Although Jordan did not find love with either Taylor or Joan — who ultimately accepted Chock Chapple’s proposal during the November finale — he sparked rumors of a romance with The Golden Bachelor alum Leslie Fhima earlier this year. Jordan cleared the air, stating, “She’s great. We talk a lot. I think Leslie’s amazing, but we’re mostly just good friends. We are not boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Looking ahead, Jordan expressed interest in joining a potential Golden spin-off of Bachelor in Paradise. “I would love it,” he said. “First, I love the beaches. That’s the best venue. You’re cocktailing, meeting new people, and you’re not fighting for the same person, regardless of gender. I think it would be fantastic.”
