Anyone Is Welcome”: Melissa Rauch’s Warm Invite to Big Bang Castmates

Melissa Rauch, best known as Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory, has been making waves as the lead in NBC’s Night Court revival. With the show gearing up for its winter premiere in January, fans are buzzing about upcoming guest appearances, including a much-anticipated reunion with Mayim Bialik, who played Amy on Big Bang. Rauch recently opened up about these reunions and teased the possibility of seeing even more familiar faces from the beloved sitcom.

During an NBC press event for Night Court Season 3, Rauch shared her enthusiasm for welcoming former castmates from The Big Bang Theory. Reflecting on Kunal Nayyar’s guest appearance in Season 2, she revealed:

“There will be some Big Bang faces this season. We can’t say officially yet, but I promise you more Big Bang faces to come. Those are my brothers and sisters, and I love them all so much, so anyone and everyone is welcome.”

A Big Bang Reunion with a Twist

Mayim Bialik’s upcoming appearance is particularly exciting for fans. Instead of reprising her Big Bang role as Amy, Bialik will play a fictionalized version of herself, offering a fresh dynamic. Kunal Nayyar’s prior guest role as Martini, a charming romantic interest for Rauch’s Abby, demonstrated that these reunions don’t simply rehash old dynamics.

Rauch fondly recalled working with Nayyar again:

“We hadn’t been on a set together since Big Bang, and we just kept saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re here!’ It was such a joy to reconnect, and filming a kissing scene felt surreal after doing the same years ago on Big Bang. My husband, who’s an executive producer on Night Court, was even on set coaching us, saying, ‘You should go harder on that kiss!’”

The playfulness of these interactions highlights how close the cast remains years after The Big Bang Theory concluded.

More Surprises in Store?

Rauch hinted that the reunion with Bialik might not be the last. While official announcements remain under wraps, she teased the possibility of more Big Bang cameos in the works, keeping fans eager for what’s to come.

With Night Court carving its own path while embracing nostalgic connections, it’s clear that Rauch values the bond she shares with her former co-stars. Her warmth and excitement to bring them into her new venture demonstrate a genuine camaraderie that transcends their time on The Big Bang Theory.

What’s Next for Night Court?

As fans wait for more Big Bang-inspired reunions, Night Court promises plenty of excitement in its own right. The winter premiere is set for January 14, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, following a cliffhanger-packed fall finale. In the meantime, viewers can stream earlier episodes of Night Court on Peacock and revisit The Big Bang Theory on Max.
