Virgin River fans beg Netflix ‘don’t do it’ as they ‘work out’ Mel and Jack wedding drama
Virgin River fans fear it might not be smooth sailing for Mel and Jack on their long-anticipated wedding day.
Virgin River fans have been sharing their theories on what lies in store for Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) ahead of their upcoming nuptials.
The Netflix show, which is returning next month, will finally see the fan-favourite pair tie the knot – but a lot of viewers fear there will be plenty of drama to come.
Virgin River, which has already been renewed for a seventh season before the release of season 6, follows Nurse Practitioner Mel as she moves from LA to a remote northern Californian town.
Taking to Reddit, fans begged Netflix “‘not to let a catastrophe happen” on Mel’s big day.
User @Complete-Road-3229 posted: “If there is one single catastrophe that happens on Jack and Mel’s big day, I am going to lose my s***!
“That’s it. That’s the post. Carry on. No one wants it and no one is asking for it! Don’t do it, Netflix!” they implored.
In the comments, other viewers shared their theories on what awaits the couple as they prepare to exchange vows.
“Of course they will be – it’s a drama,” one reasoned. “But I’m sure everything will work out in the end at the last minute.”
“You have seen the show, right?” another one jokingly asked, while a third agreed: “You’ve got a month to get yourself prepared bc s*** will hit the fan for sure. It will be beautiful but in true virgin river spirit they will make us suffer til the end.”
Another fan speculated: “Wait don’t tell me. they’re going to plan a beautiful wedding but something goes wrong with the venue and they have a smaller wedding somewhere more meaningful??? or they decide to elope just the two of them?!?!?” (sic)
Others posted some wild theories, with one commenting: “This is when we discover that Mel’s 1st husband is still alive.”
“And he’s actually the father of Charmaine’s twins,” another fan replied with a shocked emoji.
Meanwhile, one more person simply stated: “I just pray it’s the most beautiful day for them!”
