Sandra Mason, a fan-favorite from The Golden Bachelor season 1, had a fantastic time meeting Gary Levingston at the Golden Bachelorette finale. Mason, 76, expressed her excitement and joy on Instagram, where she shared a sweet moment with Levingston, a standout from The Golden Bachelorette season 1.
“What a great show!!!! I’m so happy for my sweet friend Joan and her handsome beau Chock Chapple ❤️ They were positively GLOWING 💍🌹,” she wrote, alongside a photo of her and Levingston. “It was truly a gift to get to witness so many amazing moments of this season’s The Golden Bachelorette and widen my already amazing circle of Golden friends.”
Mason went on to express how much she is enjoying her time with the Golden family, thanking the show for bringing everyone together. “We are ALL having the time of our lives! Thank you @thegoldenbacheloretteabc for bringing us all together and letting us SHINE!! 🌟❤️🌟”
The two reality stars met during the After the Final Rose taping, where Mason was there to support Joan Vassos, who got engaged to Chock Chapple. Mason was thrilled to meet Levingston, but admitted they didn’t get much time to connect, as he was surrounded by fans.
“I really enjoyed the few minutes we had together,” Mason clarified in response to fans who hoped the two would make a cute couple. “But he was bombarded by folks so I had no time with him. Sigh.”
Despite the brief interaction, Mason called Levingston a “nice gentleman” and said she’s looking forward to getting to know him better in the future.
The fan reaction was immediate, with many followers hoping Mason and Levingston might hit it off, and even tagging Joan Vassos in the post to help set them up. Vassos, who previously shared that she has set up a few successful Golden couple matches, might just be the matchmaker for this pair too.
A few days later, Mason posted another picture with Levingston from the event, joking about his name in the caption. “Anybody know what this guy’s name is? Is it…George? Gene?? Gregory??? 😉” she quipped. “GARY!”
One fan cheekily suggested that his name should be “your man,” a comment that Mason thought was “brilliant.” The interaction highlighted the fun and lighthearted connection between Mason and Levingston, with fans clearly excited by the possibility of a future friendship or romance.
In a follow-up comment, Mason also shared her gratitude for the Golden community and the friendships she’s made through the show. “You cannot imagine how grateful I am to have been included in the show!” she said. “I want EVERYBODY to make new friends with a diverse bunch of people from all over the country. So enriching and sweet!!!”
Mason made her Golden Bachelor debut during season 1, where she was eliminated in week 5 by Gerry Turner. Levingston, who was one of Joan Vassos’s suitors on The Golden Bachelorette, left the show in week 4.
As fans continue to rally behind the Golden stars, it seems that friendships, and maybe even romances, are blossoming beyond the cameras.
