Golden Bachelorette’s Joan “Dodged a Bullet,” Says Woman Who Dated Guy Gansert

A woman on TikTok has stirred up some serious drama after claiming she dated Guy Gansert, a finalist on The Golden Bachelorette season. According to her, Joan Vassos, the star of the show, made the right call by sending Guy home — as he allegedly had some unsettling behavior that left her “dodging a bullet.”

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE GOLDEN BACHELORETTE FINALE AHEAD

After the season finale of The Golden Bachelorette, which featured Chock Chapple proposing to Joan on a picturesque beach, a woman named Mamabearadvice took to TikTok to reveal shocking details about her brief romance with Guy Gansert. The woman, claiming to have dated Joan’s “second runner-up,” offered a scathing recount of her two dates with the contestant, saying Joan was better off without him.

“I just want to tell you, Joan, you dodged a huge bullet, girl,” the TikTok user began, before diving into her story.

According to Mamabearadvice, her first date with Guy seemed harmless enough. They went to a casual wine bar, and everything appeared fine. But things quickly took a bizarre turn on their second date, which involved a trip to the movies. While enjoying popcorn, the woman claimed that Guy started licking his fingers in a way that left her uncomfortable and questioning his manners. “I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, did he really just do this without even knowing me?’” she recalled.

Despite her discomfort, they finished the movie, and Guy drove her home. But the strange moments didn’t stop there. After walking her to the door, Guy allegedly asked to use her restroom. Once inside, things took a further awkward turn.

“He starts showing me videos of himself singing karaoke,” she said. As he inched closer, he allegedly began trying to kiss her. The woman quickly pulled away, telling him she wasn’t interested in that kind of relationship. But then, according to her, Guy shocked her by asking, “Can I at least see the sisters?” — a phrase that, according to her, meant something much more inappropriate.

“I’m beyond shocked at this point,” she said, recalling the uncomfortable situation. “Well, lovely Joan, you dodged a bullet. I was so happy when I saw that.”

In the comments section of her video, viewers quickly speculated that she was talking about Guy, especially after she mentioned he was from Reno — the same hometown as Guy Gansert. Many fans were also quick to defend Chock Chapple, who had previously been criticized for his behavior during the season.

One commenter wrote, “Thank you for this tbh. People are making me so mad trying to say Chock is creepy, like no, I know creepy, and I could tell by ONE glance that Guy was very creepy.”

Others shared their surprise, with one writing, “Everyone saying Chock was showing lots of red flags but for me, it was Guy who was giving me major cringe vibes and red flags.”

The video has quickly gained attention, with fans reacting to the disturbing details and commending the woman for speaking out. Whether or not Joan feels vindicated, it seems clear that her decision to send Guy home was the right one in the eyes of many fans.
