Breaking into the multi-billion-dollar food and beverage industry can be an impossible feat, unless you’re lucky enough to have some big investors behind you.
Cue: Gordon and Janine, two of the biggest names in food and drink.
With an investment of $250,000 each, Gordon and Janine are on the hunt for Australia’s most exciting and innovative new food and drink ideas to mentor and invest in.
How does Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars work?
Australia’s newest entrepreneur hopefuls will put everything on the line in this brand-new series.
Battling it out for their place at the top will be Gordon and Janine’s competing teams – 14 potential Food Stars who are ambitious, competitive and creative.
Contestants will need to pitch their concept to win a spot in the competition, before surviving high pressure challenges and an intense grilling to see if they’ve got the raw ingredients to become Australia’s first Food Stars.
The contestants will need to prove they have what it takes when it comes to service, marketing, branding and event management.
What is the Food Stars prize?
At the end of the competition, both Gordon and Janine will face the tough decision of who to invest in.
One winning idea from each team will be crowned Australia’s first Food Star and take home a cash prize ($250,000 each winning team) to kick-start their new business.
“Half a million dollars is going to up for grabs in three weeks,” announced Gordon. “Trust me, it’s going to be a journey like no other.”
Who hosts the Australian version of Food Stars?
Gordon Ramsay and Janine Allis as both hosts and mentors.
Internationally renowned, multi-Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsay has opened a string of successful restaurants across the globe.
Gordon has also become a star of the small screen both in the UK and internationally, with shows such as Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell and MasterChef US.
Janine Allis is founder of the Australian iconic brand, Boost Juice Bars, which after opening its first store in 2000, has more outlets in more countries than any other juice bar in the world.
Janine is among Australia’s most respected businesswomen, having been presented numerous domestic and international awards in digital marketing, retail, franchise, and business.
