The Entire ‘Chicago Fire’ Squad Is Under Threat in Season 13 Trailer
For much of Chicago Fire’s Season 13 run so far, the new head of Firehouse 51 has been the one causing quite a bit of tension within his station. However, all that is about to change in Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 7, “Untouchable,” where the squad regroups to take on an outside enemy. According to the episode’s official plot, Severide and Pascal are trying to catch a dirty captain in the state police department, and the perpetrator’s retaliatory attack could be coming very close to the team.
“Pascal and Severide return to the scene of a warehouse fire in hopes of finding new evidence; Cruz helps Mouch take his studies to the next level; Novak prepares a proposal for Chief Robinson for an all-blood program.”
The tense promo begins with Chief Pascal and Lieutenant Severide discussing the scene of a fire that has since been extinguished. It is suspected that the fire was arson, and while some may find this a difficult case to solve, Pascal has faith in Severide’s abilities. Next week’s episode will focus on Pascal and Severide’s investigation into the incident involving state police Captain Bishop. In last week’s episode, Pascal warned Severide that, “Bishop is not afraid of violence and does not make empty threats.” In the promo, it appears that Bishop will focus on his violent nature, leaving a note at Pascal’s home and vaguely threatening Severide’s wife, Stella.
Since Eamonn Walker left Chicago Fire, he has left behind his beloved role as Chief Boden. The fire department he left behind, while still functional and professional, lacked the harmony it had under Boden. He was replaced by Dom Pascal, played by Dermot Mulroney, and his reign has been off to a rocky start in terms of the relationships he has built with his subordinates. While last week’s episode and next Wednesday’s episode looked like they would help develop that relationship with his unit, Mulroney has previously confirmed that Pascal isn’t really interested in being anyone’s friend and is just interested in getting the job done, saying:
“He definitely took this new job very seriously. You saw him coming in very demanding. Now, has that really changed the dynamic in the house in the episodes that we’ve seen? Honestly, I can’t say much. Pascal himself isn’t very familiar with what’s leading up to Season 13 and he’s trying to, right? He’s trying to run a tight ship, but it’s a little tough. Pascal is a rule-follower.”
Can the team prove Bishop guilty of his crimes? And can they do it in time before anyone gets hurt? Find out when “Untouchable” airs on NBC Wednesday, November 13. You can also catch up on previous episodes on Peacock.
