Tracker Shake-Up: [Spoiler] Season 2 Debut
Tracker will be without a manager this fall. TVLine can exclusively confirm that Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin in Season 1, will not return as a main cast member for Season 2 of the Justin Hartley drama.
There’s no word yet on how Weigert’s departure will be explained onscreen. Both CBS and 20th Television declined to comment.
Despite Teddi’s absence, Abby McEnany, who plays Teddi’s wife (and Colter Shaw’s manager) Velma, will return. Showrunner Elwood Reid previously told TVLine that the Season 2 premiere will see Velma “take on a very interesting role with something that was hinted at with the Reenie character in the last few episodes” of Season 1. Each week in Season 1, handlers Teddi and Velma helped Colter track down cases; computer genius Bobby (played by Eric Graise) provided remote technical support; and his good friend/personal lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene) flies in to help whenever Colter has a run-in with the law.
In his free time, Colter struggles with a broken family — and a potential conspiracy involving his late father. Season 1 guest stars Jensen Ackles, Melissa Roxburgh, and Wendy Crewson — who played Colter’s brother Russell, sister Dory, and mother Mary, respectively — will all return for Season 2.
