“I think the family meeting and all that was a little different than other seasons,” Vassos admitted, “It had a different dynamic. It’s a weird ending.” While she didn’t elaborate on the twist, Joan hinted that her children, who are very protective of her, played a role in making the moment unique.
Beyond the twist, Vassos also teased that her finale was full of emotions, but she ended her journey with “happy tears.” Like most Bachelor finales, Joan’s experience was filled with ups and downs, culminating in a deeply emotional conclusion. “In most ‘Bachelor’ seasons, the finale is emotional, and mine certainly did not stray from that — lots of emotions, lots of tears,” she said, adding, “but in the end, they were happy tears.”

Vassos weighed in on the possibility, mentioning that several of the men from her season would be ideal choices. “I would hate to have that job, to have to pick the person, because I think they’re all really, really good,” she said. “Maybe because I love them and they are my good friends now, but I really, honestly think that they would all do a really good job.”
Interestingly, Vassos also shared that many of her friends from The Golden Bachelor have expressed interest in some of the men from her season, even though a few of them are already in relationships. “It’s funny that the women from The Golden Bachelor, the ones that I still talk to fairly frequently, none of them are in a committed relationship — not one,” she noted. “Meanwhile, several of the men are,” which she thought was an interesting dynamic. She added that men on the show tend to be more assertive, which might have motivated some of them to pursue relationships after the journey.
