There’s some bad news for One Chicago fans. All three shows are taking their first hiatus of the season. Chicago Fire included.
There’s no new episode of Chicago Fire season 13 tonight, Wednesday, October 30. The good news is that there’s a rerun. You can join Firehouse 51 for the first episode of season 13, as the first episode airs tonight. This is where we first meet Chief Pascal.
Why is Chicago Fire going off tonight?
There doesn’t seem to be a big reason for the entire One Chicago block to be off the air. Given that there’s a promo for a new episode and there are reruns, it’s likely a scheduling issue.
NBC needs to figure out how to fit 22 episodes into a nine-month schedule. That’s not easy, and it means taking a break here and there. While we have Christmas and New Year’s holidays coming up, there’s usually at least one holiday this time of year. Then we’ll have more when the shows return in the new year.
The good news is that it’s only a week off. Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6 airs on Wednesday, November 6.
What to expect when Chicago Fire returns
The new episode will see Severide get caught up in a case that the Illinois State Police are investigating. The case involves a bunch of ghost guns, which Severide knows will cause trouble. He’s not going to let these guns lie around.
However, Pascal wants Severide to resign. It seems like Pascal is worried about a situation. Could this be related to the Miami incident? Something happened in Pascal’s past and we’re ready to see what it is!
Check out the trailer and synopsis for Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6 to prepare for next week’s episode:
“Severide gets caught up in an Illinois State Police investigation after an illegal gun is discovered during a call. A bird harasses Mouch on the equipment floor. Kidd keeps an eye on Carver as his attitude takes a turn for the worse.”
