Virgin River star teases potential wedding chaos for Mel and Jack in season 6 with ominous warning

Virgin River star Kandyse McClure has issued a warning to fans over the upcoming wedding of Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan in season six of the Netflix drama

Virgin River star Kandyse McClure has hinted at potential wedding turmoil for Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) in the eagerly awaited sixth season.

The hit Netflix series set in a quaint town is set to resume its narrative this December, following an eventful fifth season and two cliffhanger Christmas specials.

This year’s festive season will be marked by a Virgin River celebration as new episodes are slated for release on December 19, showcasing the lead-up to the central duo’s enchanting nuptials.

“It’s beautiful,” said McClure, who plays Kaia Bryant, during an exclusive interview with Screen Time about the upcoming wedding.

Yet, in true Virgin River fashion, the path to marital bliss may not be smooth sailing for the adored pair, with potential obstacles looming on their special day

McClure cautioned: “I guess I’ll say this… the plan is beautiful. It’s a beautiful idea. But… we’ll see.”

Despite being probed for more details on possible disruptions, McClure remained tight-lipped.

“It may or may not happen,” she cryptically concluded.

Part of the festivities will include Mel’s bachelorette party, which was briefly showcased in the latest season six trailer.

Confirming her character Kaia’s involvement, McClure shared that after forming a close-knit circle with characters like Jack’s sister Brie Sheridan (Zibby Allen) and Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale), viewers can expect some lively scenes.

“You see us on stage, we’re singing together. Let’s just say it was a wild day and night,” McClure divulged with a hint of excitement.

The actress shared her experience on set, “You want to get into it as much as possible because it makes it easier. We actually filmed at this incredible bar that I had been to before a few times, because I do live in Vancouver.”

She recalled personal memories related to the location, stating, “I was like, ‘I’ve had a few nights in this bar that I can probably call on right now’.”

McClure then teased what viewers can expect, ensuring them there will be ample surprising developments, “Absolutely. There’s a couple,” she affirmed. Delving deeper, she remarked, “Now that I’m thinking about it there are a few, in fact.”

Highlighting character development in the upcoming episodes, McClure observed, “I think you’re going to see a different side of people we think we really know. And a kind of deepening of that understanding of who those people really are.”

Commenting on the scripted drama, she expressed her excitement for future performances, revealing, “There’s a couple ones that took my breath away when I was listening in. There’s some really powerful performances coming up this season.”

As season six updates viewers on Kaia’s tumultuous relationship with Preacher (Colin Lawrence) following an inadvertent declaration of love, fans are left in suspense. McClure carefully avoided spoilers but hinted at the emotional stakes, with audiences encouraged to watch the upcoming season to learn if Kaia reciprocates Preacher’s feelings.
