The man who raised TK has been mentioned multiple times throughout 9-1-1: Lone Star’s five seasons, but viewers will get to meet him in the flesh in the final season. TV Insider reveals that Henry Ian Cusick (Lost, The 100, Scandal) has been cast as Enzo, TK’s stepfather. Ian Cusick will debut in Episode 7, which airs on November 11. The character is described as “impossibly handsome, urbane, educated, wealthy, and suave. He visits TK on his 30th birthday and surprises Owen for a number of reasons, but who’s to bet it’s the handsome part? The network has released the first images showing Enzo with Jonah, TK’s half-brother, and the two guests meet TK’s husband, Carlos, who may have originally been introduced. The season description teases that “on his 30th birthday, T.K. gets a surprise visit from his past that could change his and Carlos’ lives forever.” The tagline for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 7 “Kiddos” teases this and other surprises in the episode. TK gets a big surprise on his 30th birthday when his stepfather Enzo (guest star Henry Ian Cusick) arrives in Austin with TK’s half-brother Jonah; Owen’s resentment towards Enzo turns physical; Tommy is determined to overcome her latest crisis; a suicidal caller is convinced, and 126 must perform a dangerous surgery in a field after a man is impaled on a tree. Henry Ian Cusick joins ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Season 5. Showrunner Rashid Raisani spoke about casting Ian Cusick for the role. “Henry Ian Cusick playing Enzo is easily a “His charm and soul make him the perfect stepfather for TK, and his star power and wicked comedic chops make him the perfect sidekick for Owen Strand. My only regret is that we didn’t get more seasons to see this incredible actor explore this potentially game-changing character,” he said. Enzo’s visit brings up some things from the past and will force Owen to confront his behavior after 9/11 and how it affected TK. “It will force Owen to acknowledge, going back to his past as T.K.’s father and the years he was absent, that some trauma happened to T.K. and Enzo has a lot to say about who T.K. will become.” So there’s going to be a lot of reckoning with the past that’s going to come up for his character,” Raisani teased. Guest stars in the episode include Ian Cusick as Enzo, Theodore & Vincent Simard as Jonah, Eugene Byrd as Will, Serenity Grace Russell as Rory, Hina Khan as Isla, Christine Weatherup as Dr. Dawn Collins, and Iris Liu as Sofia.
