While this Sunday’s case on Tracker comes from Colter’s tracking rival, Billie Matalon (Sofia Pernas). Tracker Season 2, Episode 4, “Noble Rot,” airing November 3, will see Colter Shaw take on a case brought to him by someone he trusts more than Billie Reenie (Fiona Rene). Reenie works with Colter as his attorney, helping him solve cases and, of course, supporting him when he gets into trouble with the law. However, as teased in the official synopsis for the episode below, the preview reveals that Reenie gives Colter a serious case to solve. The plot summary for “Noble Rot” is as follows: Reenie asks Colter to solve a case involving a woman who goes missing at a high-end wellness resort in Napa for executives.
The preview for next Sunday’s episode is brief but sets the stage for an intriguing and action-packed investigation. Reenie and Colter are seen discussing a missing woman that his wife believes was a corporate kidnapping. Previously released promotional material for the upcoming episode features images of Reenie and Colter working together. The pair are seen working in a lush landscape in what looks like a winery. Their dynamic will be interesting given the guest star in the episode. Michael Rady appears in a supporting role as Elliot, Reenie plus one more person at an event.
Colter (Justin Hartley) is a loner who, despite his great personality, isn’t really suited for a romantic relationship. This Sunday’s episode sees Colter reunite with his former lover Billie, who has manipulated him in the past. While the pair eventually made some progress in understanding each other as the recent episode showed, it doesn’t seem like there’s much hope for a long-term relationship. The dynamic between Reenie and Colter isn’t much different either, as their different outlooks on life would create obstacles for any lasting relationship. “And I think, even though Reenie and Colter have this chemistry, it’s not just playful or sexual,” Rene previously said of the Colter/Reenie relationship.
“But a truly caring friendship, Reenie thinks that just scares him. There’s no news here. And what’s the best way to do that, other than accepting someone for who they are and being there for them? And I feel like that dynamic definitely made their relationship stronger.”
We’ll See More of Reenie in ‘Tracker’ Season 2 A lot has changed in Tracker’s second season. Colter and his brother, Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles), are no longer strangers. Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin, has left the show, and Reenie has actually quit her full-time job and gone into private practice. Discussing the character’s decision previously, Rene promised that viewers would see Reenie out and about more this season, saying, “You’ll see her a little more on the field, you’ll see her a little more in her office. You’ll see her a little more, full stop.” Next Sunday’s episode seems to confirm this.
Tracker follows lone survivor Colter Shaw as he travels across the country as a bounty hunter. Using his expert tracking skills, he assists private citizens and law enforcement in solving various mysteries while also dealing with issues from his own broken family.
