“SEAL Team” Series Finale: The Epic Conclusion and Bravo Team’s Fate Revealed

This post contains spoilers from Sunday’s SEAL Team series finale.

Bravo Team’s days of dangerous, remote missions are over.

Following the penultimate episode, in which Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), Omar (Raffi Barsoumian), Sonny (A.J. Buckley), Brock (Justin Melnick), and Trent (Tyler Grey) capture Ramon Nazario (Gabriel Rodriguez), Jason (David Boreanaz), and Drew (Beau Knapp) set out to find and kill Ross Curtis (Mac Brandt), a Green Beret and traitor.

When Jason and Drew find Ross, they point their guns at him, but Jason reconsiders and decides not to kill him, muttering, “You’re not worth me killing him.” But as Jason walks away, Drew shoots Ross in the head, explaining to Jason, “That traitorous son of a bitch tried to kill my teammate. Besides, letting him go would be the end of your career.”

Bravo Team later boards the plane as Jason explains why he didn’t shoot Ross. “It felt wrong to kill a man who was affected by this war like I was,” he says.

Jason returns home to find Emma (Kerri Medders) trying on wedding dresses with Mandy (Jessica Paré); it turns out Emma has decided to move her wedding to Brad (Brandon Butler). Meanwhile, Ray expresses regret to Naima (Parisa Fakhri) about Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), who was shot and killed in season 6. “The Spenser house is tainted for me,” Ray says earnestly.

Sonny spends his time cleaning Clay’s gravestone chatting with Stella (Alona Tal), who accidentally reveals that Davis (Toni Trucks) has accepted a new role that requires moving to Washington, D.C. — a decision that causes Sonny to do some soul-searching.

In Jason’s garage, he and Mandy have a tense discussion, in which Mandy says he needs to forgive himself for the people he killed — “The people who need to forgive me are dead,” he replies — before Jason receives a call from his commander. Bravo is assigned another mission to Afghanistan, where they will find a former high-ranking Taliban official who was exiled for siding with the Northern Alliance.

Before Bravo’s team departs, Jason talks to Ray and wonders if Curtis can “atone” for his actions. Jason actually wonders if he can atone for the people he killed in the past. However, Ray believes that redemption can help Jason find peace.

to tell them where the family of a man Jason once killed now lives. The wife eventually forgives Jason for his actions.

While the three are driving away, they are shot by the enemy and find themselves struggling to survive. They apparently survive, as the episode then cuts to Emma’s wedding, where Jason walks her down the aisle. During the reception, he dances with Mandy, while Sonny and Davis discuss her new job.

Meanwhile, Naima tells Ray that he should celebrate the success of Bravo Team’s latest mission. She also explained that running the Spenser House and helping veterans has given her a purpose “bigger than anything I’ve ever done.” She added, “All I want is for you to find that feeling, wherever you find it.”

Also at the reception, Sonny revealed to Stella that he had named Clay co-inventor of a new medical kit that Sonny developed so that half of the profits would go to Clay’s family — a move that brought Stella to tears.

“The purpose of the medical kit is to help my brothers and sisters in the military,” Sonny added, before the two hugged.

In one scene, Davis meets with the commander about her new role, and Ray visits the Spenser House and convinces Ben (Joey Pollari) to stay. As Jason is grilling by the water and playing with his dog, Mandy approaches with a beer in hand.
