“Tracker Star Teases Hopes for Epic Team-Up with Jensen Ackles After Season 2 Comeback”

Tracker star Justin Hartley recently discussed the upcoming second season, revealing his hopes for the show to continue exploring Colter Shaw’s relationship with his on-screen brother, Russell (Jensen Ackles). Russell Shaw will feature more prominently in Tracker Season 2, which premieres on October 27. In an interview with Collider, Hartley talked about what he’d like to see with the relationship between the brothers in Tracker Season 2, given the family bombshell that was dropped on Colter in the first season. “When Colter finds out exactly what’s going on, and I struggled with that because there’s so many different ways to skin this cat and I don’t know which way is better or more interesting, and he learns the absolute, undeniable truth,” he said. “Does he find out from his sister? Or his brother? Or his mother? Or a combination of all three? Or is there no way at all? Or is Jennifer Morrison’s character coming back? Or is it a new character? There are so many different ways we could do it, and they’re all interesting.”

Despite all the drama, Hartley hopes Colter and Russell can resolve their differences by having deeper conversations about their childhoods in Tracker Season 2. “But it would be great if there was a resolution between the two of them. They had that when Russell showed up, at the end of the movie, but they could have had more conversations about their childhoods,” he said. “A lot of times, two kids who grew up in the same house have completely different memories of what happened in that house, even though they lived in the same house at the same time with the same parents and in the same circumstances.”

It’s amazing what the human brain will do to protect the heart.

Hartley continued, “It’s amazing what the human brain will do to protect the heart. So I think that could be some interesting episodes. It’s great to go out and do a two-person show and kick ass.”

Justin Hartley believes the main theme in Tracker is family Hartley also discussed what he wanted to carry over from the first season to the second season of Tracker. The cast believes that family is an important universal theme and a key element of the show. “Family seems so basic, but every single person on earth has a story about their family. Even if you’ve never met your family, it’s still a story,” he said. “Everyone has desires and longings when it comes to their family, and things they don’t have and regrets. Family is something that everyone can relate to. It’s never solved. It just gets more complicated. It’s relatable, that’s the key.”

Based on the novel by Jeffery Deaver, Tracker is an action-drama series created by Ben H. Winters for CBS. Traveling across the United States in his RV, Colter Shaw is a lone wolf with a broken past who spends his time helping solve mysteries and police cases in every town he passes through.
