Justin Hartley had the time of his life working with wife Sofia Pernas on season 2 of Tracker.
“Oh, she’s the best and she’s so talented,” Hartley, 47, told TV Insider on Wednesday, September 4, about reuniting with Pernas, 35, on an episode of the hit CBS show. “She comes in and she just shows up and brings more than what’s on the page.”
Hartley couldn’t be more grateful to share the screen with Pernas, adding, “It’s such a blessing to have her and then to spend time with her! It’s the best days in the world to work with her.”
Ahead of Tracker returning to CBS on Sunday, October 13, Hartley teased what fans can expect from her character’s second season.
Every Time Justin Hartley and Wife Sofia Pernas Shared the Screen: From ‘Quantum Leap’ to ‘Tracker’ “She calls [my character] Colter because she needs his help with something,” he shared. “And of course, he’s like, ‘You need my help, huh?’ Like, ‘Okay, then I’ll help you.’ That kind of thing.” Hartley originally worked with Pernas on The Young and The Restless in 2015. Years later, they reunited off-screen and exchanged vows in 2021. “We had a great time together. I just thought it would be a really cool idea. It was my idea from the beginning to have this character,” Hartley, an executive producer on Tracker, told Deadline in May after Pernas’ season 1 episodes aired. “My idea was to tease that and deliberately name the character Billie, and then reveal that Billie is, of course, Sofia. We didn’t tease that as much as I would have liked, just because we were so busy. But that was the intention.”

Two months later, Hartley opened up to Us Weekly about how having Pernas on set helped him as an actor, saying, “She’s amazing. I mean, if I had my choice, I would spend every minute with her. What’s really great is when you meet someone who means so much to you, who you’re so proud to be around and proud of, and a fan of, and to see her work, because she’s such a talented actress. She elevates the scenes, and it really makes my job easier. But yeah, it’s great to work with her.”
