‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Begins Production, Adds 3 More Cast Cameras have begun filming on Season 4 of Netflix’s hit show “Bridgerton,” the streaming service announced Monday.
Season 4 will also add three new cast members: Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun), Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li); Isabella Wei (Posy Li). The upcoming season “will focus on free-spirited middle son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Although both his older and younger brothers are happily married, Benedict is reluctant to settle down — until he meets a charming Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball,” Netflix reported. Yerin Ha will play Sophie Baek, aka the Lady in Silver, Benedict’s love interest, Variety exclusively reported.
Netflix has released short bios for three new characters: Lady Araminta Gun by Leung: “Twice married and twice widowed, Araminta has two daughters debuting at this season’s marriage fair and is feeling pressured to marry at least one of them. Brilliant, bright, and outspoken, Araminta does not react well when anything—or anyone—threatens her standing in society.”
Rosamund Li by Mao: “Beautiful, vain, and eager to please her mother, Rosamund is Araminta’s eldest daughter and most prized possession. Rosamund has her sights set on Benedict Bridgerton this season and is determined to get what she wants.”
Posy Li by Wei: “Rosamund’s younger sister, the much kinder Posy, also debuts this year. But her mother rarely pays attention to Posy, as her talkative and overly friendly demeanor often leads her to speak rudely.”
“Bridgerton” stars Hugh Sachs and Emma Naomi are also returning for Season 4, which is being filmed at the newly built Shepperton Studios. The show will feature Georgian and Regency-era architecture including homes, buildings, Mayfair streets and more. The eight-episode season is hosted by Jess Brownell and executive produced by Brownell, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen.
