Gina Rodriguez has joined the cast of Season 3 of the ABC drama “Will Trent” as a lead actress.
She will play Marion Alba, who is described as “a charismatic, confident assistant district attorney who is new to Atlanta. After a first meeting with Will (Ramón Rodriguez) doesn’t go well, the pair are surprised to learn they must team up to investigate a crime in Atlanta’s gang world.”
“Will Trent” follows a Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent who was abandoned at birth and raised in Atlanta’s foster care system, and now has the highest clearance rate in the bureau. Alongside Rodriguez in the lead role, the cast includes Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, and Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood.
