The Golden Bachelorette contestant Pascal Ibgui is getting into the Halloween spirit with a playful tribute to Joan Vassos. The 69-year-old salon owner showcased his sense of humor by dressing up as the 61-year-old leading lady of the show, and fans are loving it!
On Sunday, October 27, Pascal shared his creative costume on social media, donning a long blonde wig, a figure-hugging gold dress, and matching gold heels. To complete his look, he held a single gold rose, perfectly capturing Joan’s essence. He posted a cheeky caption alongside the photo, asking, “Pascal, will you accept this rose? 🌹😉”
The backdrop for his post was equally festive, featuring an elaborate staircase inside his Chicago salon, Pascal pour Elle, decorated with cobwebs and spiders, adding to the Halloween vibe.
This light-hearted moment comes shortly after Joan confirmed to Us Weekly that she found love during her journey on the show. Before the season premiere on September 18, she shared, “The journey ended exactly like it should. I feel like I found a lot of love, and there’s all different kinds of love. I feel like every one of these men are gonna be in my life forever. We shared really, really intimate things about our lives, and we are bonded. So I think I found a lot of love actually this season.”
However, Joan has also revealed that the emotional rollercoaster of her Hometown Dates left her feeling uncertain about her connections. In the October 23 episode of The Golden Bachelorette, she admitted to feeling “in a funk” and lacking confidence regarding several of her final relationships. While she felt a strong commitment from two contestants, Guy and Chock, she noted that Pascal and Jordan were “very noncommittal,” expressing uncertainty about where their hearts lay.
“I feel less confident now than I did much earlier in this journey,” Joan confessed. “I should be diving in. I should be taking that leap of faith that I keep talking about in my head.”
During his introduction on the show, Pascal expressed his desire to find a partner to share his life with. “I have made myself a great lifestyle,” he said. “I’m fortunate that I’m able to travel. I’m driving the car I want to drive. I buy the clothes I want. I live in a beautiful home. I would like to be able to have a partner to share my life with.”
In a touching moment during his first conversation with Joan, Pascal read a heartfelt letter from his son, Maxim. He prefaced the message by saying that it made him feel he had “done what needed to be done.” As he read aloud, “Dear father, as you embark on your new journey, you’re going to kick ass,” he brought laughter and warmth to the moment. “I believe in you. You are the greatest father. Thank you for the advice you have given me. You are my rock, I love you, and I hope that Joan will be a good fit for you. Your difficult son.”
With Halloween bringing out the fun side of Pascal, fans are eager to see how his relationship with Joan unfolds in the coming episodes of The Golden Bachelorette.
