“New Horizons: Tracker Season 2 Teases an Upcoming Spinoff Adventure!”

Given the massive success of Tracker, it wouldn’t be surprising if CBS ordered a spinoff, and the show came up with the perfect idea for one in its season 2 premiere. The action drama is based on the 2019 book The Never Game by Jeffery Dever. The story revolves around Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw, a tracking expert (as the show’s title suggests) and survivor who is hired by private citizens and law enforcement agencies across the country. However, Colter has a team to help him, including Robin Weigert as Teddi Bruin, Abby McEnany as Velma Bruin, Eric Graise as Bobby Exley, and Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene.

Together, the Tracker characters solve cases in each episode, while also dealing with personal issues. One of the main storylines of the series revolves around the romance between Colter and Reenie. The two characters have a romantic past, but Colter isn’t in a good position to date anyone. So as of Tracker season 2, Colter and Reenie aren’t a couple. However, Reenie’s storyline has expanded beyond her relationship with Colter in the season 2 premiere, and her new storyline could make for a great spinoff.

The CBS show’s lead (and only) attorney left her previous job in the Tracker season 1 finale, and as season 2 opens, Reenie is starting her own law firm. After all, Reenie is a brilliant lawyer and deserves to make her own rules. With Teddi gone, Velma joins Reenie on her new journey, and the two make a great team on Tracker. Together, they solve cases and sometimes assist Colter in his work.

The Tracker season 2 premiere basically sets the stage for a perfect spinoff featuring Reenie, Velma, and the new law firm. After all, Tracker is primarily focused on Colter and his adventures, so it would be interesting if CBS developed a spinoff centered around Reenie and her law firm (which she will undoubtedly expand by hiring more lawyers and other associates). A Tracker spinoff is inevitable given the success of the original show, and the best way to go about another series would be with Reenie’s season 2 story.

Colter could still be one of Reenie’s clients in a possible Tracker spinoff about her new law firm. So Justin Hartley could guest star occasionally, or characters could occasionally mention Colter so that the spinoff ties into the original show. In any case, Reenie could still help Colter, even if she’s no longer a main character on Tracker.

Plus, Reenie’s law firm doesn’t feature much on Tracker. The CBS action drama could easily find a way to completely ditch the Fiona Rene character so she can headline her own series. Finally, CBS (reportedly) has no plans for a Tracker spinoff at this time, but if the network were to consider it, the answer would be Reenie.
