After SEAL Team Season 7, David Boreanaz Suggests Bones Revival: Are Fans Ready?

The popular military drama SEAL Team has ended after seven seasons, wrapping up the story of David Boreanaz’s Jason Hayes, his crew, and their families. Boreanaz is one of the biggest stars on television with a long list of successes. Before Hayez, he played FBI Agent Seeley Booth for 12 seasons on the Fox police procedural series Bones. He recently discussed the prospect of reviving Bones and what its storylines might be.

David Boreanaz opens up about returning to the Bones series after SEAL Team ends In a recent interview with Variety, Boreanaz said he would consider returning for Bones Revival. However, he mentioned that it would have to be a limited series and not “something long-running” like the original show. “Trust me: It’s not something I’m focused on right now in my life, but it’s the only show I would consider — and I would say consider,” he added.

When asked where his and Deschanel’s characters would end up, Boreanaz speculated, “Booth would probably be in the spotlight at Quantico, at the real FBI. We’d have a daughter who’s at least 15, 16. She’d be in college, maybe studying tactics to become an FBI agent, which would drive her mom crazy. And maybe she’d change her anthropology course and take a forensics class in her course to become an FBI agent. Who knows?”

The Queen and her corgi Boreanaz further explained that Booth would likely retire before “being pulled back into a case,” while Brennan would “write a book and get a lot of accolades” and “have to go to the FBI because of the award I’m getting.” “And then it all goes wrong,” he added. “I can see that, man!” Boreanaz said the plot would be “funny.” He mused, “My daughter could actually be actively training at the FBI, which would be pretty funny.” Bones originally aired from 2005 to 2017 and was a loose adaptation of the life and novels of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The show had a spinoff, The Finder, that aired for one season on Fox in 2012 before being canceled.
