9-1-1: Tommy Shares His Intentions With Buck In New Season 7 Deleted Scene
A deleted scene from season 7 of 9-1-1 has teased Buck and Tommy’s future, and fans are going crazy.
Throughout the show’s seventh run, the series created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear has blessed LGBTQIA+ fans with a number of queer-led storylines – including Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley (Oliver Stark) coming out as bisexual.
The exciting moment came in the fourth episode (‘Buck, Bothered and Bewildered’), where the fan-favorite character shared an (unexpected) intimate moment with former firefighter and LAFD Air Operations pilot Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.).
Following the epic episode, Buck continues to explore his sexuality, coming out to his family and best friend Edmundo ‘Eddie’ Diaz (Ryan Guzman), while also developing a closer romantic relationship with Tommy.
Since the season seven finale – which aired on May 30 – ABC has treated fans to a series of bonus Instagram content, including a deleted scene that appears to tease the future of Tommy and Buck’s relationship.
In the clip, Hen (Aisha Hinds) and Karen (Tracie Thomas) are shown cornering Tommy – who is holding a piece of cake – at the LAFD’s Medal of Valor ceremony.
“So, what are you going to do about it?” Karen asks before Hen clarifies, “I mean, what are you going to do about Buck?”
After realizing that the married couple were asking about his budding romance with Buck and not his piece of cake, Tommy revealed that they were taking their relationship “very slowly.”
“I actually let him set the pace and I just tried to keep up,” he added.
Although the scene was short, it was an instant hit with fans, who expressed excitement about Buck and Tommy’s romantic relationship developing.
One fan commented in the comments: “Absolutely!! I LOVE Tevan when we’re together. I also love how Tommy says he’s just trying to keep up. We all know what that means! Please end Tevan, Tim!”
Another fan expressed similar sentiments, writing: “Cute and sly teasing with a deep undertone. That’s lesbian/gay solidarity.”
A third fan added: “This makes me so happy! I love Tommy, and I love this couple!”
Luckily, fans won’t have to wait too long for more Buck and Tommy content, with the eighth season of 9-1-1 premiering on September 26.
