A familiar face is set to appear in Will Trent Season 3, and she may very well be coming to stir things up romantically. But what do the new additions to Will Trent Season 3 look like?

Details on whether we can expect sparks to blossom between her and Will Trent have yet to be revealed, but considering the rest of the character description reads, “After a less-than-stellar first encounter with Will, the pair are surprised to learn they must team up to investigate a crime in Atlanta’s gangland world,” it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that there will be a love triangle in Will Trent Season 3. Another interesting possibility for Rodriguez would be a long-running storyline as an antagonist to outsmart the protagonist.

The show is based on the NY Times bestselling Will Trent book series by Karin Slaughter. It follows Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Will Trent (Ramón Rodriguez), who, after a difficult childhood in the foster care system, uses his unique perspective to pursue justice. The series first premiered in January 2023 and is currently in its third season.

Plus: Here Are the Real-Life Kids of Some of Primetime’s Most Beloved Stars Rodriguez’s character could appear to introduce a romantic relationship that could be different from the one Trent shares with Angie (Erika Christensen), his longtime best friend and on-again, off-again girlfriend. The pair met as children in the foster care system and developed what could be considered a somewhat codependent relationship. As they grew older, their relationship became romantic, but their issues made it difficult for them to maintain a healthy relationship. However, by the end of Season 2, it seemed like they had finally figured out how to make things work. At least until Will was forced to arrest Angie in the Season 2 finale for tampering with evidence.

Will Trent also stars Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, and Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood.

Rodriguez rose to fame after playing Jane Villanueva on Jane the Virgin. She co-hosted ABC’s game show Lucky 13 with Shaquille O’Neal and recently starred in ABC’s Not Dead Yet and Disney+’s Diary of a Future President.
