The Reagans’ Professional Lives Converge in the ‘Blue Bloods’ Season 14 Part 2 Premiere

Get ready to say goodbye to the Reagans. The emotional farewell to Blue Bloods begins on October 18, when the series kicks off its final 10-episode run on CBS.

What’s in store for the Reagans’ final chapter?

Season 14 Part 2 opens with new challenges for each member of the Reagan family: One faces a criminal complaint, while another faces a feud with an old friend.

Erin Accused of Jury Tampering
The season 2 premiere, “Life Sentence,” sees the Reagans’ professional lives cross over when Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is accused of jury tampering. The case is intertwined with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez’s (Marisa Ramirez) murder investigation, as well as Eddie’s (Vanessa Ray) case as she helps a young witness in a murder case.

Erin struggles with feeling sidelined while trying to clear the charges. In a clip from the episode (posted on YouTube), her father, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), shares that he understands how she feels.

“When I was little, if the coach took me out of a game, I would stand right in front of him and tell him to put me back in,” Frank says.

“That’s exactly how I feel right now. I just want to get back to work,” Erin responds.

Frank Reagan clashes with an old friend
Elsewhere, Frank has an argument with his longtime friend, Archbishop Kearns (Stacy Keach), over the death penalty. Meanwhile, Jamie (Will Estes) and his nephew Joe Hill (Will Hochman) team up to recover his stolen car.

In another preview from the episode, Jamie shares with Joe Hill the important lesson he learned from his late brother and Joe’s father, Joseph Reagan.

“He said, ‘You don’t have to live up to anyone’s expectations but your own… Joe gave me the freedom to be a cop. I just wish he’d lived long enough to hear me thank you,'” Jamie confides.
