Joan Vassos has embarked on her journey to find love as the first-ever lead of “The Golden Bachelorette.” At 61, the private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, was previously a contestant on “The Golden Bachelor,” competing for Gerry Turner’s heart. Now, she’s the one handing out roses as she meets 24 men from all over the country.
Although the season has just started (it premiered on Wednesday), fans and spoiler enthusiasts are already speculating about who will receive Vassos’ final rose. Here’s what’s being said online. Note: Potential spoilers ahead!
Who Does Joan Vassos Choose?
According to TV blogger Steve Carbone, also known as “Reality Steve,” there are already rumors swirling about the final outcome of the season. Carbone, known for his “Bachelor Nation” spoilers, recently posted predictions for Vassos’ season, revealing the names of the final four contestants and the potential winner.
Based on his reports, Vassos will take the following men on hometown dates:
- Jordan Heller (61), a senior sales executive from Chicago
- Guy Gansert (66), an emergency room doctor from Reno, Nevada
- Chock Chapple (60), an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas
- Pascal Ibgui (69), a salon owner from Chicago
Carbone claims that after the hometown dates, Vassos will eliminate Heller. Chapple is reportedly sent home after the overnight dates, leaving Gansert and Ibgui as the final two contenders.
However, according to Carbone, things take a surprising turn when Pascal Ibgui eliminates himself, admitting that he’s not in love with Vassos. This leaves Guy Gansert as the last man standing. Carbone reports that Vassos and Gansert are still together, though he’s uncertain if they are engaged.
Gansert’s ABC biography describes him as “charismatic, confident, and romantic,” with a passion for spending time with his four children and grandchild. He’s portrayed as someone who wants to show that older men still embrace life with enthusiasm.
While Carbone’s predictions have been accurate in the past, he’s also missed the mark a few times. For instance, during the last season of “The Bachelor,” he initially claimed Joey Graziadei would propose to Daisy Kent, a 25-year-old account executive. But by February, he revealed his sources were incorrect, and Graziadei was actually engaged to Kelsey Anderson, which turned out to be true.
On the other hand, Carbone accurately predicted that Jenn Trann would choose Devin Strader, a 28-year-old freight company owner, on the most recent season of “The Bachelorette.” He also correctly reported that Trann and Strader had broken up shortly after the finale aired.
