Virgin River: We finally know if this missing character will return in season 6

New information about season 6 of Virgin River has just been revealed. The creator of the series has revealed whether this missing character will return or not.

At the end of 2023, season 5 of Virgin River was added to Netflix, and subscribers were able to find Mel and Jack who lived new adventures including a devastating fire and a big discovery for Mel. In previous seasons, viewers witnessed the death of Wes, Paige’s abusive husband, who left town to escape him. Preacher (Colin Lawrence) got rid of the body that he buried in the forest with the complicity of Mike (Marco Grazzini). Problem? The fire uncovered Wes’ body, which could cause some trouble in the future season 6 of the series. Since her departure in season 2, Lexa Doig who plays Paige has only made a few appearances in Virgin River. Something that doesn’t really please viewers. But will she return in the sequel?

Will Paige return to Virgin River after leaving town with her son?

While the sixth season of Virgin River is highly anticipated by fans, they have made many theories and some wonder if Paige will return or not in the series. Unfortunately for fans, Paige will not return to the series during the sixth season! It was showrunner Patrick Sean Smith who confirmed the information to the Economic Times. “Dispelling rumors about Paige’s return following the discovery of Wes’ body, Smith says season 6 will not reintroduce Paige,” the newspaper reported. The sixth season of the series should then focus on Preacher and his new love life with Kaia. The Economic Times notably explained that Preacher had turned the page with Paige and that a secret of extreme importance was going to be revealed.

A season 6 of Virgin River influenced by the fans
If fans want Paige to return, the series will therefore not meet their expectations. However, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told Télé-Loisirs that this sixth season, which should arrive in 2025, was largely inspired by the fans of the series. “The series has a large community of fans and I always make a point of respecting that, even if it’s difficult to please everyone. My intention is to create something that most of them will like. I don’t want to disappoint the fans because they are the reason why the series is successful.” he told us.
