Anger, Tears, and Brotherhood: ‘SEAL Team’ Ends Its Spectacular Journey on an Emotional Rollercoaster
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: One fear that has persisted since the announcement that the seventh season of ‘SEAL Team’ would be its last is how the creators will end the story of the critically acclaimed military drama. Given the popularity the show has enjoyed over the course of seven seasons, the stakes seemed high. Furthermore, things got more personal this time around as Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) sought to disrupt a drug operation for personal reasons. Not only that, the hilarious banter between Bravo Team, the high-risk mission, the emphasis on TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and the things our military faces were the heart and soul of the storyline in the previous season.
The aftermath of Hayes’ bold decision to turn down the Navy Seal in protest was the main focus of the final season of ‘SEAL Team’. To recall, the commander of Bravo Team made this brave move to protest the way the Navy disregarded the mental health of his soldiers. This protest has unexpected consequences, as Bravo Team is assigned boring jobs as punishment, creating a tense environment as their careers progress.
Despite their growing discontent, life ashore allows them more time with their families, but it becomes clear that their thirst for action is still strong, and they soon get a chance to relive the old days when they are sent to help crack down on a suspected fentanyl trafficking operation linked to China. As the story progresses, Bravo Team puts all their energy into getting to the bottom of the case. Now, this is the team’s professional front, but things are also escalating in their personal lives as Hayes faces a TBI and his son Mikey’s overdose makes things even more complicated for him.
