SEAL Team Boss Reveals Shocking Plot Points From Series Finale, Revealing Jason’s Original Ending (And What Season 8 Will Be Like) For 20 devastating seconds, the SEAL Team series finale made us think Bravo had suffered a tragic loss during their latest shoot in Afghanistan—as the dirt and smoke from a missile landing dissolved into a church service with men in military uniforms, and everyone looked pretty serious.
But then the familiar opening notes of “Wedding March” broke the heavy silence, and we saw Jason walking his daughter Emma down the aisle to marry his boyfriend Brad.
“On the day of the shoot, that’s what they wanted to do,” series veteran Kerri Medders, who plays Emma, told TVLine of the brutal spoof. “They made everyone incredibly sad, and then all of a sudden I’m walking down the aisle.”
While viewers at home were relieved to see the beautiful bride, Medders felt something else entirely while filming the scene.
“That was the moment I started to get emotional” about the end of SEAL Team, she said. “Emma’s moving on with her life, and I’m so glad people got to see that. She’s come so far.”
Medders added that Emma’s wedding was also a “really weird moment,” because it was the first time she’d ever worn a wedding dress. “It was my first time, so I’ll always remember it. I felt like it was real, but it wasn’t. ‘Emma’ came out, and I was like, ‘This is crazy!'” Medders’ TV dad’s crazy dance moves at the outdoor wedding reception afterward were also crazy. And if you thought David Boreanaz was just “acting” like a goofy dancer, “Oh no, no, no, he is,” Medders reported. “We were breaking it out on the dance floor, and he made me laugh!” she added. “We did, like, The Sprinkler and all that crazy stuff, but it was really funny. I couldn’t stop laughing.”
