Lead actor Iain Armitage has quite the showbiz background! The young star, said to be named after British screen legend Ian McKellen, is the son of theater producer Lee Armitage and actor Euan Morton.

Sheldon’s father, George, is portrayed by Lance Barber, who is also a dad in real life. He’s married to chef Aliza, and they have two young daughters together.

Lance prefers to keep his family life private, so not much is known about his wife and kids.

Sheldon’s older football-loving brother is played by 21-year-old Montana Jordan. When he’s not on set, he’s back home in Texas with his family. As the youngest of three, he has two older sisters named Katella and Jaden.

Montana is also in a relationship with Jenna Weeks, who is expecting their first baby. Congratulations to the couple!

Connie Tucker, or Meemaw, is the witty matriarch of the family, played by actress Annie Potts. Annie has been married four times and has one son, Clay, with her third husband, Scott Senechal. She is currently married to Ugly Betty producer James Hayman, with whom she has two sons: musician James, known as ‘Doc,’ and writer Harris.

Annie is also a proud grandma to two little boys. Her son James welcomed a baby named Cassius in 2021, and Clay became a dad to baby Silas in 2022.

On the Really Famous podcast in 2019, Annie shared about her close bond with her children, saying, “Now that they’re proper grown-ups, they’re really close. Honestly, their relationships are everything I’d hoped—they love each other, support each other, and make each other laugh. The youngest and oldest are both writers, and they always prioritize their work over their brother’s.”

Annie became a grandmother for the second time in 2022!

Raegan Revord plays Sheldon’s twin sister, Missy, but not much is known about her real-life family. It seems her parents aren’t actors, and unlike her character, Raegan is an only child with no siblings.
