“Get to Know Shireen: The Special One Standing Next to ‘Bridgerton’ Star Golda Rosheuvel”
We’re still on a high after Bridgerton season three premiered, and if you’re anything like us, you’re probably trying to fill in the gaps left by the period drama by digging into each of the cast’s lives.
From actress Bessie Carter’s famous parents to two actors rumored to be dating in real life, it seems like we know everything there is to know about the Bridgerton gang.
Today’s Top Videos But the question on our minds lately is who is Queen Charlotte actress Golda Rosheuvel’s real life partner?
Well, fans will be pleased to know that Golda has been in a relationship with her partner Shireen Mula since the early 2010s.
The Queen Charlotte actress previously told The Guardian that they met ‘the old-fashioned way – at a friend’s party.’
Golda has often credited Shireen’s “invaluable” support for her career, adding that her pride in Shireen has had a strengthening effect. How sweet!
The actress told Tatler that the attention she’s received since landing the role in Bridgerton has been a bit of an adjustment, explaining that “it’s nice to have someone who can be there for you in the moments when you’re having a hard time and help you through the ups and downs”.
In fact, Shireen helped Golda land the role of Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton. What many may not know is that she auditioned for Lady Danbury but forgot her lines and didn’t get the part.
Luckily, she got a call from a casting director a few hours later to audition for Charlotte. The couple were packing for a trip to France at the time, but they dropped everything to film a self-filmed audition.
Thank goodness for that, we can’t imagine anyone else playing Queen Charlotte.
Golda has been very open about her relationship with Shireen, who works in the same industry as a playwright. She previously told Out Magazine that the secret to their happiness is joy, communication and vulnerability.
‘It’s very, very important that we have joy, even in difficult times,’ the 54-year-old admitted. ‘In the nine years that Shireen and I have been together, that’s been the core of how we’ve stuck together and worked things out. I’m so grateful to Shireen. Because from day one, she was strong enough to do that.’
