There’s only a few days left until Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage premieres on CBS! Annie Potts, who played Meemaw in Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory, recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram featuring the Cooper family. This gives fans a glimpse of a reunion that will take place in the new series.
In the photo, we see Meemaw, Mary Cooper (played by Zoe Perry), and Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment), along with Georgie (Montana Jordan). It’s been reported that there will be a Thanksgiving episode where the Coopers and McAllisters gather, likely leading to some fun and chaos.
While Georgie & Mandy will focus on the McAllister side of the family, the Coopers will still make guest appearances. Fans can expect to see more of Georgie’s sister, Missy Cooper, as her role has been expanded. However, it seems that young Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage) might not appear in this series.
As for the timeline, Georgie & Mandy is set two months after the funeral of George Cooper Sr., which was featured in the finale of Young Sheldon. This spin-off will explore how the loss of the family patriarch affects everyone, particularly Georgie as he steps up as the man of the house.
