Joan Vassos continues her search for Mr. Right as the first-ever “Golden Bachelorette.”
Vassos, a 61-year-old private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, competed in the inaugural season of “The Golden Bachelor” for Gerry Turner’s rose. Now, Vassos is the first lead of “The Golden Bachelorette,” entertaining a pool of 24 men hailing from coast to coast.
Although Vassos’ journey in finding love has only just begun, fans already have theories about the winner.
Who will receive Vassos’ final rose? Here’s what the internet is saying. Caution: spoilers and theories ahead!
Who does Joan pick on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?
Steve Carbone, aka “Reality Steve,” is a well-known TV and Bachelor Nation blogger. He posted spoilers for Vassos’ “Golden Bachelorette” season, releasing the names of the final four contestants and winner.
Per his post, Vassos takes these four men on hometown dates this season:
- Jordan Heller, a 61-year-old senior sales executive from Chicago.
- Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old emergency room doctor from Reno, Nevada.
- Chock Chapple, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas.
- Pascal Ibgui, a 69-year-old salon owner from Chicago.
Carbone originally reported that Vassos broke things off with Heller following the hometown dates and Chapple during the overnight dates, leaving Gansert and Ibgui as the final two suitors. However, the reality TV expert has since changed his prediction, per a Sept. 18 Instagram post.
According to Carbone’s updated post, it appears Gansert was reportedly eliminated instead, leaving Ibgui and Chapple as the final two suitors. Ibgui then eliminates himself because he’s not in love with Vassos, and Chock Chapple becomes the last man standing.
The blogger says the two are still together, but he does not know if they are engaged.
Carbone’s theories have been proven right (and wrong) in the past. He claimed in November that Joey Graziadei would get engaged to 25-year-old Daisy Kent, an account executive from Becker, Minnesota, during the last “Bachelor” season.
However, in a February Instagram post, the blogger said his sources were wrong and Graziadei was actually engaged to Kelsey Anderson ‒ whom the “Bachelor” did, in fact, propose to during the season finale.
Carbone also accurately predicted that Jenn Trann would pick 28-year-old Devin Strader, a freight company owner from Houston, Texas, during the recent season of “The Bachelorette.” He then later correctly reported Sept. 3 that Devin and Jenn had since broken up.
Who is Chock Chapple from ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?
According to his ABC bio, Chapple is “kind, loves adventure, and has had a successful career owning his own business.”
When he’s not working, Chapple is spending time with his kids and his black labrador Super Tubbs, exercising and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. His guilty pleasure is shopping, and he’s a self-proclaimed grill master.
He also went nighttime shark diving in Australia once, and hopes that Chevy Camaros with T-tops “make a comeback.”
Chapple’s bio states the 60-year-old is a total “relationship guy” and is excited about “finding that spark again.”
When is ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ finale?
“The Golden Bachelorette” finale date has not been announced. “The Bachelor” franchise typically has 9-13 episodes per season, USA TODAY reports. “The Golden Bachelor” had nine episodes followed by a special wedding episode that aired a little more than a month after the finale.
If this season is nine episodes long, the finale could air Nov. 13.
