Will Joe Hill meet his cousins in the Blue Bloods final episodes? (Showrunner weighs in)

Blue Bloods fans are still saddened to know that the upcoming second half of Season 14 will be the last for the hit series. Despite hopes that it somehow survives, it seems to be the end at last of the saga of the Reagans and their work with the NYPD. It’s been a great ride, and the producers look forward to ending it on a high note.
While plot details are tight, we do know there will be big guest star appearances from Debi Mazar and Mira Sorvino, each of which is hinted to be setting up a potential spin-off. It’s also likely we get farewell appearances from some past characters to make sure the show wraps up properly.
Fans are hopeful these will include a couple of characters mostly absent for the past few seasons: Danny’s older son, Jack (Tony Terraciano), and Erin’s daughter, Nicky (Sami Gayle). Both characters have been gone for a while with the logical reason of being in college, and while they’ve popped up now and then for family dinners, they’re not constant like Danny’s other son, Sean (played by Tony’s real-life brother Andrew Terraciano).
Also likely coming in is Joe Hill (Will Hochman), the son of the late Reagan, Joseph, who was killed before the series started. He’s been a constant face at the family dinners and working with the rest of the family. Yet, amazingly, Joe has yet to share a scene with either Nicky or Sean.
Could that change in the final episodes?
Will we see all the Reagans together at last in Blue Bloods Season 14?
Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Kevin Wade confirmed Joe is returning and hinted that we’ll finally see all the Reagan cousins sharing the screen together.
Wade was clear all four characters will be coming in and when asked if they’ll meet, he simply winked and replied that question “will be answered in the final episode.”
It is probable that there have been scenes of Joe meeting the other cousins, and we just haven’t seen them (the show has rarely done a Christmas dinner episode). So this may not be the actual first meeting of them, just the first time fans see them all on camera together.
Still, the idea that we finally get to see all of the Reagan clan sitting around that dinner table is another reason to get excited over the bittersweet end for Blue Bloods.
