The couple dated from 2008 to 2009, largely keeping their relationship private. However, the book provides insight into how they fell in love and experienced their romantic journey amid the sitcom, which concluded nearly two years into their relationship.
Reflecting on their breakup, Cuoco discussed the reasons that their relationship fell apart. While the couple had the advantage of being together all the time, during their working hours and afterward, it also ended up becoming the reason they decided to part ways.
In the book, Cuoco noted that spending so much time together led to the absence of novelty and mystery in their relationship, leading to challenges that were difficult to navigate.
Johnny and I also ran out of things to talk about, because we’d be at work all day, and then we’d go back to one of our places together, and say, ‘So how was your day? Simon was funny today, right?’ And we’d laugh because we had no mystery.
Galecki shared similar sentiments regarding their split stating, “We just had very different interests in what I think we wanted from our experience of life.” The pair handled their split very maturely, as there were no hard feelings regarding their breakup.

While their romance came to an end, both Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki have maintained a strong bond filled with love and respect. “We’ve been so supportive of each other ever since. We adore each other,” Cuoco said.
In the book, she shared that their breakup was amicable without any negative issues or betrayal and that although there was some initial hurt, they quickly transitioned back to being friends.
Galecki echoed her sentiments while expressing his admiration for their enduring friendship, “I adore the friends that we are.” He further shared, as per US Weekly,
I think I might value my relationship with her more than any other previous relationship or relationship afterwards — We just have such a bond that I appreciate so much. And I think that’s part of our great friendship.
They continued to star together on the show after their breakup. The two have since remained close friends, occasionally exchanging birthday wishes and playful jabs on social media.
