Justin Hartley Reunites with This Is Us Co-Star Jennifer Morrison in Tracker — Watch Their Emotional Scene!

Justin Hartley and his former This is Us co-star Jennifer Morrison will reunite for the season finale of Tracker.

On Sunday, May 19, the CBS drama finds Colter Shaw (Hartley) “investigating the disappearance of two amateur storm chasers, one of whom is the daughter of a former family friend (Morrison), who local police have ruled an accidental drowning,” according to the synopsis for the network.

“Colter’s expert tracking skills lead him to uncover the dark side of a small-town resort,” the description continues.

In an exclusive clip from the season 1 finale, family friend Lizzy Hawking tells Colter that her daughter Katie and her boyfriend went missing after going out on a boat to track a storm.

“They left late Friday afternoon. I spoke to Katie right before they went out,” she explains. “There’s a big storm coming and they want to be prepared.”

Colter said her daughter’s storm chasing work is “impressive,” to which Lizzy countered that it’s “terrible” like her mother’s.

When asked if Katie takes risks, she explained, “The most traumatic things will make them click.” She then noted that Katie doesn’t have the support of local authorities. “Sheriff Woods is always giving them a hard time saying Katie’s storm chasing is a pointless risk. But what he doesn’t understand is that she loves it, taking risks and all. And she’s good on the water, she can handle herself.”

She added that her daughter’s boyfriend, Dylan, is “a third-generation Waterman. Surfing, scallop diving, he basically grew up on the water.”

“That’s good, it increases their chances in case something unexpected happens out there,” Colter explained.

When she asked him what he meant, he shared, “Yeah, I tracked the path of the storm, and there were a lot of places where the boat could have been docked — if they were actually out in the water — when the storm hit.”

After asking if there would be any more details about the disappearance, Colter promised, “Lizzie, if Katie’s out there, I’ll find her.”

Hartley previously revealed in an interview with Collider that Morrison, 45, will play a “significant role” in Tracker.

“I haven’t worked with her since This Is Us, and she comes across as an old friend of the Colter family, way back when they were kids,” he shared earlier this month. “And so that whole family dynamic is kind of seeped out a little bit through her experience with him in the finale. So there’s that. I probably wasn’t going to tell you that, but it’s all good.” As This Is Us fans may recall, Morrison played Cassidy Sharp, an Army veteran who was close friends with Hartley’s Kevin Pearson. This isn’t the first time This Is Us has reunited on the CBS series. Jon Huertas directed the episode titled “Aurora,” which aired on April 21. When he met Hartley, 47, ahead of the series’ premiere of Tracker in February, the actor was more than excited to tease his reunion with Huertas. “I’m going to be with him every day on set,” Hartley said. “We’re going to spend a lot of time together.”

Hartley also previously told PEOPLE that he’s still “very much in touch” with the rest of his former on-screen family.

“All those guys! Sterling [K. Brown] and I just got a little video message from Mandy [Moore]. She did something ridiculous and I felt like she was making fun of us. Maybe she was,” Hartley said with a laugh. “I love them.”
