What To Expect From Wednesday Season 2

What Else Jenna Ortega Has Said About The New Season
Little official information has been revealed so far regarding season 2, but the Wednesday season 1 ending could provide some indication of what direction the story will go in. The season ends with Ortega’s character making some big discoveries, including that Christina Ricci’s Marylin Thornhill, aka Laurel Gates, Nevermore’s botany professor, has been behind the season’s evil scheme. While Thornhill is defeated at the end of the show, the final scenes tease that a big threat is still to come.

Notably, the end of season 1 features Wednesday getting a message on her phone saying “I’m watching you”. It’s not yet clear who sent the threatening message, but this mysterious texter is sure to be a big part of season 2. This ominous ending fits with Ortega’s previous comments about season 2, with the actor teasing that Wednesday season 2 will be more horror-themed and more action-packed.

Filming on the new season is expected to get underway this April in the UK, meaning the series may not be returning to screens until 2025. Much of the core Wednesday cast is expected to return for season 2, including Emma Myers as Enid, Percy Hynes White as Xavier, Joy Sunday as Bianca, and Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, among others. With filming due to get underway in the next few months, more details about Wednesday season 2 will hopefully be revealed in the near future.
